The Head and Colour: Painted Portrait

Students taking part in this workshop will be shown how to begin the process of creating a likeness, whilst also exploring how colour can affect the mood of a painting. Looking at the heightened palettes used by artists such as Van Gogh, Jawlensky and Schiele students will be introduced to a way of working which allows an artist to transform a palette whilst keeping its coherence.
