Jo is tutor for the Jewellery evening class and Jewellery Weekend Workshops and also teaches at Edinburgh College of Art.
Jo studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art, and completed the Postgraduate Diploma in 2007 after her BA (Hons) degree. Her work consists of mixed media jewellery and small-scale sculptural objects with the occasional accompanying screen print. Jo frequently works with found objects, combining them with materials such as resin and precious metals, provoking a discussion about what is disposable and what is precious. Jo works from a ramshackle caravan parked at the foot of the beautiful Ochil hills. She is a member of the council for Visual Arts Scotland.
Jo regularly exhibits within the UK and abroad and her work has been shown at Dazzle, London, SOFA, Chicago, Visual Arts Scotland, and the Craft Scotland Summer Show. She received a Visual Artists and Craft Makers Award in 2015.
