Leith School of Art is opening again in September!
We are excited to be opening our doors again in September and we look forward to welcoming students back to our wonderful School. Your safety as a student is of course our highest priority and in response to Government guidelines the team are working hard to put measures in place to create a safe and welcoming environment. These measures will involve the use of enhanced cleaning regimes, cleansing stations, PPE and social distancing rules. With these new measures in place we look forward offering students the experience of learning with our fantastic staff and excellent studio environment.
Leith School of Art is a very special place and I would like to thank you for your continuing friendship and support.
A lot of people are not aware that Leith School of Art is a charity. We receive no public subsidy, which means that we don’t get regular financial help from the local authority or Government. Every penny we need to support our projects with young people and the community, and to pay the salaries of our wonderful and dedicated staff team, we have to raise ourselves. We do this largely through course fees, but on top of that we still need to raise large sums of money to ensure that our beautiful campus remains one of the most vibrant and vital independent art schools in the UK.
If you would like to make a general donation to help Leith School of Art through this period of deep uncertainty, we would be extraordinarily grateful.
Your support means everything to us, and we ask that everyone in our community help one another at this challenging time. Now more than ever arts and culture can lift our spirits, brighten our days and support our mental health. Your direct financial contribution will ensure that we continue to make Leith and the City of Edinburgh a better place to live.
Please take very good care and I look forward to seeing you back in September!
Very best wishes
Nick Devison, Principal
