Working from sketches, memories and photographs, students will use collage to create a series of small landscape pieces or a larger-scale collage.

Taking inspiration from David Hockney and John Piper, we will begin the two-day workshop by preparing a wide variety of papers to use in our collages. Found objects will be used as tools, creating marks and textures with ink and acrylic paint. We will then use these tactile and unique papers to depict the shapes, tones and colours of a landscape with each student experimenting with their own way of working.
