Drypoint etching is a printmaking technique where lines are incised in a Perspex plate, and then inked up and printed to create prints which have similar qualities to traditional etchings.

It has the advantage of being a more rapid process than etching, and so is a wonderful medium with which to experiment. In this workshop, students will learn how to build up prints with multiple plates; using the built environment as a starting point, they will examine how to use abstractions, and find ways of introducing colour into their prints.
