Over two days, students will work intensively in response to a still life setup. The weekend will begin with spontaneous, free and expressive studies, and mark making responses to the studio set up.
These explorations will then be processed and developed into semiabstract compositions using pastels, acrylics and oils. Abstract composition, mark making, and colour will all be explored in depth, with reference to the work of artists such as De Stael, Ben Nicolson, and Braque. A fantastic opportunity for those looking to expand their understanding and approach to still life drawing and painting.
