This class is an opportunity to spend a whole day drawing, painting and making art.
Inspired by studio installations, the life model and Edinburgh’s urban landscape, students will work in wet and dry materials, including oil and acrylic paints. The structure of each term varies, enabling the group to take the opportunity to visit current exhibitions, produce work on a range of scales and work on projects over a number of weeks.
Although some experience is helpful, the teaching in each session is fully supportive of different levels. Students will be encouraged and challenged to develop their knowledge and skills, producing artwork in new and exciting directions. The course is ideal for those who are considering taking a year-long course at the School in the future, or for people who want to produce a lively body of work and develop their skills. Students can take a single term or continue the course over a number of terms.
