Artists are often known for assembling interesting collections which reveal their fascinations and inquisitiveness about the world. This course invites young artists to explore their creativity and the theme of collections through drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking.
A variety of collections will be displayed in the studio and each day, students will use a different material and way of working in response to what they see. Working both collaboratively and independently, students will create large-scale paintings, clay sculptures, lino prints and be introduced to cyanotype. Encouragement will be offered to try new things and work in unexpected ways throughout the course of the week. Students will leave with a diverse range of work, having built on their creative skills as an artist.
