A series of workshops inviting young artists to explore their creativity and learn new skills in drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media. Each session will focus on a new theme, with students learning about different art forms, artists and cultures from around the world, including Asia, Africa and South America. Workshops can be taken individually, or booked together to build on the young artists learning throughout the year.
In the Autumn Workshop, young artists will take inspiration from Asia, exploring Hokusai’s printing techniques and Kate Downie’s charcoal and ink studies of Beijing. The day will focus on teaching students about observational line drawing, exploring shape, tone, texture and scale. Students will learn about monoprinting and relief printmaking using linocut, completing the workshop with a diverse range of work.
We are pleased to offer a 15% discount to school pupils on all of these workshops. Workshops fees are £72.25 each (with school pupil discount) or a reduced block-booking price of £210 for all three workshops when booked together. Phone the School to if you would like to find out more about this offer.
