An ideal workshop for students wishing to learn the basics of painting with oils. A structured introduction to working in colour will be provided, inspired by the work of artists such as Anne Redpath, Alberto Morocco, Elizabeth Blackadder and Andy Cranston.

Students will be guided through the practical process of using oil paint; from laying out a palette to mixing and applying paint. Beginning with a limited palette and introducing colours step-by step, students will create a still life painting over the course of the day. This workshop is specifically aimed at those with no experience of painting with oils and is a great follow on from the ‘Drawing for Beginners’ workshop.
