A series of workshops inviting young artists to explore their creativity and learn new skills in drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media. Each session will focus on a new theme, with students learning about different art forms, artists and cultures from around the world, including Asia, Africa and South America. Workshops can be taken individually, or booked together to build on the young artists learning throughout the year.
In the Summer Workshop, young artists will take inspiration from South America - the colour and patterns of Mola folk art and John Brown’s vibrant mixed media and collage work from his travels to Cuba. Students will learn about observational drawing, exploring mixed media materials and rich colours in their studies. During the course of the day the class will use a wide range of materials including chalk pastel, collage, acrylic paint and oil pastel, completing the workshop with a diverse range of work.
We are pleased to offer a 15% discount to school pupils on all of these workshops. Workshops fees are £72.25 each (with school pupil discount) or a reduced block-booking price of £210 for all three workshops when booked together. Phone the School if you would like to find out more about this offer.
