Cyanotype is an elemental process - a form of light-based printmaking, more commonly known as ‘Blue Print’. During this workshop, an explanation will be given to students on the cyanotype process in its widest sense and its place within contemporary visual art, through an introduction to the work of artists such as Anna Atkins, Leena Namari and Lauran Semivan.

The focus of the day will be on experimentation; students will collate and compose drawn imagery, sourced through observation and found photographic imagery, text and collage and use the cyanotype process to create a collection of lively, exploratory images.
