Leith School of Art runs low cost drawing and painting classes for people who are in receipt of benefits. The classes are held weekly at our St James Campus, and are for adults who are interested in art and would like to learn some new skills. All materials are provided and each week new techniques and different ways of working are explored.
Our community classes are designed for people who are in receipt of benefits. We welcome anyone who is interested in art and would like to learn some new skills. All materials are provided and each week new techniques and different ways of working will be explored. Students will have the opportunity to work from subjects suggested by the tutor or from a subject that is of particular interest to them.

Proof of eligibility
If you are in receipt of a state benefit e.g. Job Seekers’ Allowance, Income Support, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, Employment and Support Allowance, Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance or Severe Disablement Allowance, or your sole source of income is a DWP State Retirement Pension and Pension Credit you are eligible for a community class place.
