Artist’s Statement

I’m a conceptually driven artist interested in the tension between traditional and other visual languages.
My work is deeply personal. My processes involve the alchemy of paint; how this translates ideas into form. I research uncertainty, traces, entropy, and cycles of change from my own relationships and experiences.
Kalos Eidos is an intense, playful and challenging exploration of my relationship with my twin sister.
I think with my hands, experimenting with conceptual and physical layering, taking risks materially and emotionally. I work with digital processes, printmaking, made/found objects, and detritus in my paintings and installations.

Subsequently I’ve spent the last 15 months learning about paint and painting, developing my process on the Painting Course. I’m thoroughly looking forward to another year of intense study and exploration looking
