Andrew delivers the Art History component of the Foundation Course as well as tutoring a variety of Short Courses.
Andrew graduated in Fine Art from the Ruskin School, Oxford in 1982. He has an Art Teacher’s Certificate from Goldsmiths College, London and a Masters degree in History of Art from Edinburgh University and has been teaching at Leith since 2006. Andrew is completing his PhD in History of Art at Edinburgh University, and is looking forward to having more time to paint again. He is also learning the traditional techniques of icon-painting as an offshoot of his research. Andrew’s paintings have been shown and commended at the BP Portrait Award, as well as shown at the Society of Portrait Painters in London, Visual Arts Scotland, the Leith Gallery and St Margaret’s House, Edinburgh.
