Leith School of Art is an independent art school with charitable status, offering a high quality art education to students regardless of financial or personal difficulties. Our charitable aims permeate the School’s approach, contributing to a supportive culture which is enriched by the increased diversity which comes with widened access. We believe that there is intrinsic value in nurturing each individual’s creative flame, and that the art world benefits from having a broader range of voices represented. We depend on fundraising to deliver Assisted Places, Graduate Residencies, and the LSA Schools Programme as we do not receive state funding.
We are sincerely grateful to all of our funders, patrons and supporters, who make it possible for LSA to continue offering our fantastic charitable programmes, including Bursaries, Graduate Residencies and engagement with local secondary schools.

Offering future support with a gift in your will is an easy way to make sure that your love of art lives on. Gifts might be for a specific purpose such as a named scholarship, be given anonymously to support the future of the School, or be used in other ways as you prefer.
As an independent art school, we can partner with organisations to find creative and fun ways to help meet Corporate Social Responsibility targets. We welcome our corporate supporters to exclusive events with artists, personalised tours of exhibitions and to enhance their own creativity.
