Delia joined the School in September 2016 having previously taught for many years on the Foundation Course and Fine Art Programme of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. She has also taught evening and weekend short courses, and workshops for children and young adults.
Delia’s practice encompasses drawing, collage, painting and printmaking. In recent years, she has used the qualities of water-based paints and their application processes to convey a sense of instability and tension in the final image. Delia also finds that her practice benefits from the experience of teaching as she responds to the material she prepares for classes.
Delia has a WASPS studio at Meadow Mill in Dundee, exhibiting locally and nationally. Recent activities have included a residency and exhibition at Halle 14, Leipzig, in partnership with Hospitalfield Arts, Arbroath. A member of the Royal Scottish Academy since 2008, Delia is the convener for the 2017 New Contemporaries Exhibition at the RSA.
