Schools Outreach Exhibition 2020

Leith School of Art's Schools Outreach Programme is a yearly project offering free, high quality and tailored art classes to young people across Edinburgh wishing to follow a career in the creative industries. The class is made up of twelve pupils, selected and recognised by their teachers as having a natural talent for Art and Design.

Previous Schools Outreach students have gone on to take Advanced Higher Art, join the Leith School of Art Foundation Course, and be accepted to Glasgow School of Art and Grays School of Art in Aberdeen.

We were very sad to have to cancel our School’s Outreach exhibition, which should have taken place on Friday 27th March 2020.

This year we were thrilled to welcome another talented and enthusiastic bunch from four Schools across Edinburgh: Gracemount High, Holyrood High, Leith Academy and the Royal High School. Here you can see some of the beautiful work they created during their time with us, led by the wonderful Brigid Collins and Harriet Hobday.

Now more than ever arts and culture can lift our spirits and brighten our days, to which these pupils have already contributed so much. We would like to congratulate them on their efforts, and wish them well on their artistic journeys. Good Luck!

The project was made possible by the generous support of our donors; Castansa Trust, Scottish Children’s Lottery, The Ponton House Trust, Inchrye Trust and John Watson Trust
