Learn how to develop small colour studies into a series of paintings.
Working with a variety of soft and oil pastels, the morning will be spent drawing on location near the School, gathering imagery while responding to colour and structure. The tutor will guide you through using pastels outside, how to layer colour and achieve compositions that bring out the best in exciting, rich colour combinations.
After completing a series of plein air studies, the afternoon will be spent back in the studio, building up several small acrylic paintings based on the particular palettes that have been discovered in the morning.
