Use yarn as ‘paint’ to create organic effects using simple crochet stitches.
Crochet is an age-old, creative and versatile method of making textiles, clothing and items for practical use. Crochet, however, also lends itself to free-form work, colour play and textural experimentation.
During the workshop students will experiment with combining a multitude of yarns of varying weight and texture. Using painterly techniques which allow you to crochet creatively, without a pattern, students will ‘paint’ their own textures, colours and forms through yarn.
