Look beyond the function of everyday objects and instead notice their colour, form, texture and context.
This workshop is based on artist Yasumi Toyoda’s idea of the Super Ordinary Life. Toyoda created an Instagram feed featuring small details of things she encountered on her way to work, with the aim of seeing the world with fresh eyes.
These small details serve as excellent source material for producing relief prints, becoming more abstracted as we 'zoom in'. By using a selection of cutting tools, inks, equipment and a collection of our own images, we’ll embark on a mini relief-print project about our everyday ‘super ordinary’ surroundings.
All core materials provided. Concession rates are available.
