Explore the potential of the draped figure in this immersive two-day workshop.
Working from a rich, colourfully-staged setup, you'll develop a resolved painting through focused compositional studies, colour mixing (including skin tones and reflective hues), and layered acrylic techniques.
The course begins with an introductory lecture and preparatory sketches, taking inspiration from artists including Alice Neel, Kirsty Whiten, and Kudzanai-Violet Hwami. While incorporating traditional methods of construction and observation, each student will create a contemporary response to the figure.
This workshop is ideal for those looking to deepen their understanding of colour, composition, and painterly process in a supportive, intensive studio environment.
