By becoming a Patron you will play a vital role in making Leith School of Art's work possible and in shaping the success and growth of the School.

With your help, we will be able to support aspiring artists at entry level through a diverse portfolio of courses, offer a bursary scheme to support students in need of financial assistance, take care of our vibrant studio spaces, run outreach programmes for young people and adults, and ensure our classes are inclusive to students of all abilities, backgrounds and ages. Patrons' regular donations are unrestricted, meaning that you will support the School's most important areas of need each year.

Our close-knit community of Patrons enjoy a special relationship with Leith School of Art, receiving invitations to annual private Patron events, first access to the End of Year Exhibition's Private View and the annual Spectrum newsletter sharing updates about the impact and difference made possible through your generosity. Other benefits include discounted Weekend Workshops and Summer School courses, annual gallery visit or studio tour with the Principal and your name being added to LSA's recognition plaque.

Our Patrons make Leith School of Art the unique and special place it is today. By supporting us now you will help us deliver our vision and be a part of our thriving future. You can support the School by becoming a Patron at a level and frequency to suit you, or by becoming an LSA Philanthropist:

• Bronze, £100+ per annum (£9/ month by Direct Debit)
• Silver, £250+ per annum (£21/ month by Direct Debit)
• Gold, £1,000+ per annum (£83/ month by Direct Debit)
• Platinum, 2,500+ per annum (£208/ month by Direct Debit)

• LSA Philanthropists, major donations of £5000 and above per year

Donation preferences are confidential, so your individual gift will remain private. However, we offer LSA Philanthropists the option to restrict their giving to a named bursary, a space within the School or to a specific LSA charitable programme.

What are our charitable programmes?

Patrons enable us to:

  • offer financial assistance to students through our Bursary Scheme

  • launch the career of Graduate Residents

  • support the artistic development of disadvantaged young people

  • offer accessible art classes to our local community

  • maintain our beautiful facilities and to offer the supportive culture for which we are known and loved.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Patron, please get in touch with the School on 0131 554 5761 or email:  We will be delighted to hear from you!
